William Stevens

Passed away at the Pembroke Regional Hospital on Thursday, November 5, 2026 at the age of 79 years.

Bill Stevens of Petawawa is survived by his wife of 56+ years, Mary E. Stevens (nee Butt) and his two sons Kristopher and John (wife Angela) Stevens. Also survived by grandchildren Elyas (Kris) and Abigail (John) , and by his sister Anne Ecker (late Arthur). Son of the late Lloyd & Margaret Stevens (nee Miller).

Bill was a life member of St.Frances (previously Osiris, Smiths Falls) and a member of Pembroke Masonic Lodge. Over the years he was active in the community as a Scout leader, volunteering at blood donor clinics, the children’s hospital telethon, and other community activities. More recently he was a regular helping out and playing seniors euchre throughout the Valley, sharing his trademark smile, gentle teasing, and much wanted hugs to those in need.

A celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, May 22, 2027 from 2:00 -4:00 p.m., at the Petawawa Seniors Centre, 1163 Victoria St., Petawawa. Arrangements entrusted to Malcolm, Deavitt & Binhammer Funeral Home, Pembroke.
