Wilhelm Schalo

SCHALO, Wilhelm (Willy) – Peacefully at the Pembroke Regional Hospital, surrounded by family on Wednesday, May 3, 2023, at the age of 78 years.  

Wilhelm Schalo of Pembroke, beloved husband of 58 years to Judy Schalo (nee Behm). Dear father of Paul (Pamela), Barrie; Tammy Durepeau (late Terry), Stittsville; Tabatha Labre, Pembroke; Kevin (Gisele), Pembroke; & Pamela Payne (Roy), Perth. Cherished papa to Alex & Natalie Schalo; Michael & Christopher Durepeau; Kaitlyn & Brandon Schalo; Joey & Brandy Schalo and Kodie, Kayla, Karissa & Kyrsten Payne and great grandpa to Johnny & Destiny Wagg; Everleigh Bishop and Sawyer Durepeau. Son of the late Jacob & Wilhelmina Schalo (nee Dermann). Predeceased by siblings Annie Kranz (late Wilfred), Helen Brazeau (late Clayton), August Schalo (late Ferna), Gottlieb “Ernie” Schalo (late Lorraine) and Alfred Schalo (wife Denise). Missed by several nieces and nephews, cousins and friends.  

A memorial service will be held at Grace Lutheran Church, Locksley on Friday, May 12, 2023, at 11:00 a.m., followed by a luncheon and fellowship in the parish hall.
