(Retired AECL 27 years, Member Royal Canadian Legion Branch 72, Masonic Lodge AF & AM #128 and Airforce Wing #438) - Passed away peacefully at Miramichi Lodge on Tuesday, September 13th, 2005 in his 94th year. Vern Schimmens of Pembroke beloved husband of Ola Schimmens (nee Purcell). Dearly loved father of Brian Schimmens (wife Lois), Ottawa. Dearly loved grandpa of Julie Schimmens, also of Ottawa. Son of the late William & Selma Schimmens (nee Lau). By request there will be private family services only. Interment in Zion-St. Timothy's Lutheran Cemetery.
