Theresa Mary Yakabuskie

YAKABUSKIE, Theresa Mary – passed away at the Pembroke Regional Hospital on Saturday, February 15, 2025 on her 90th birthday.

Theresa Yakabuskie (nee Stoppa), wife of the late Peter Yakabuskie. Mother of Andrew (Kevelyna), Joan Lee (Robert), Brian (Pam), Rosemary Alport (late Harold), Barbara, Theresa, Betty Stewart (Rick), Henry (Jamie), Patrick, Lornie (Wilma), Irene Gough (Stephen), Melissa Bennett (Calvin), Adam (Maria), Josephine (Dave), Helen (Kevin), Eve (Marty), and Paul. Grandmother of 38 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild. Predeceased by parents John & Johanna Stoppa (nee Pecarskie), son Peter Jr., daughter Mary Ann, grandchildren Jordana Yakabuskie, Codie Stewart & Tyson Yakabuskie, brother Leonard, and sisters Rosemary, Irene & Eve Stoppa. 

Visitation will be held at the Malcolm, Deavitt & Binhammer Funeral Home, 141 Renfrew St., Pembroke on Friday, February 28, 2025 from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. A Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church, 86 Lacroix Bay Rd., Lapasse on Saturday, March 1, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. Spring Interment in Our Lady of Grace Catholic Cemetery, Westmeath on Saturday, May 17, 2025 at 2:30 p.m. As an expression of sympathy, donations to the Pembroke Regional Hospital Cancer Care Campaign would be appreciated.
