Susan Bradley

d. July 20, 2020

Susan Elizabeth Bradley (Lounsbury)

It is with broken hearts that we announce the sudden and unexpected passing of Sue Bradley, a cherished mother, grandmother and sister on July 20, 2020.   She was predeceased by her parents Mackenzie and Marion Lounsbury of Deep River.

Sue is survived by her sons Jordan Kelly of London, Ontario and Lucas Bradley and Lucas’s wife Corey of Kincardine, Ontario.  Sue has two grandchildren Jaxon and Mackenzi who were the love of her life.  Sue is also survived by her only sibling Nancy Lounsbury of Deep River.   Sue is greatly missed by Emma the dog who was her partner in all things dog and who was her constant companion who kept all her secrets.

Sue was employed as the Manager of Alia n TanJay in Pembroke.  She was born in Deep River, Ontario on May 14, 1953.  She attended Key’s Public School and Mackenzie High School in Deep River.  She then attended McMaster University in Hamilton Ontario and was a regular at the Downstairs John.  Shortly after graduating from University she moved to Kincardine Ontario and was a huge community supporter there.  Sue was an integral part of the Scottish Festival, Fishing Derby and Chamber of Commerce in Kincardine for many years. She lived in Kincardine most of her adult life, returning to Renfrew County approximately 5 years ago and lived in Pembroke.  Sue always said the best job she ever had was as a marriage officiant – she loved the romance, sentiment and joy of each ceremony.

Sue loved to garden, collect antiques and putter at home.  She loved the sun and the beach and she was always closely monitoring the weather in summertime.   Sue was so easy to like and love – she had a great sense of humor and loved to laugh.  She had a warm and generous heart.  She also sang along to the radio at all times and that was a source of annoyance to her boys.  We are totally overwhelmed by the response to her death – she was remembered by people from high school, university, Kincardine, Deep River, Pembroke and everywhere in between.

Sue was not somebody who embraced old age.  She did an amazing job of keeping the years at bay.  She loved life, we love her and she will always be remembered and missed.

The love of Sue’s life was her Grandchildren.  Because of that we have decided to open a Trust Account for their Education.  If you wish to make a memorial donation please use e-transfer to jaxonkenzi@gmail.com or you can make a donation thru Malcolm Deavitt and Binhammer Funeral Home in Pembroke (www.mdbfuneralhome.com).

Sue will be cremated and she did not wish any service or formality.  She left specific directions for her ashes.  However, we are thinking of some kind of beach get-together in Kincardine – no date has been set.   Perhaps a small get-together in Deep River will happen at a later date.

Night, sleep tight and love you oooooodles!
