Passed away peacefully in the comfort of his home in Petawawa after a valiant battle with cancer, on Monday, April 13, 2026 in his 77th year.
Stanley Arthur ‘Stan’ Duplisea Sr., beloved husband of the late Judith “Judy” Duplisea (nee White). Dear father of Stanley Duplisea Jr., Pembroke and Charmaine Lindsay (Yashpal), Petawawa. Loving grandfather of Mariah, Willow, Trinity, Brooklyn, Damian, Devin, Rayshell, and Bunu. Great-Grandfather of Destiny-Rose, Damira, Dinari and Leo. Survived by his brother Doug Duplisea, Smithers, B.C, and late brother Don (Deanna) Duplisea, Fredericton Jct. NB. Predeceased by his parents Calvin & Ruth Duplisea (nee Nason). Also survived and missed by many nieces and nephews.
Stan proudly served his country with honor for 30 years as a cook with the Military and will be remembered by many as “Cookie”.
A Celebration Of Life will be held at the Royal Canadian Legion Br. 517 Petawawa on Thursday, June 11, 2026 from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m . Interment of Stan and Judy’s ashes will take place on Friday, June 12, 2026 at 3:00 p.m., in the Canadian National Military Cemetery (Beechwood Cemetery) 280 Beechwood Ave., Ottawa, ON K1L 8A6. To honor Stan, we welcome the Veterans UN-NATO group to convoy to Ottawa together for the burial. As an expression of sympathy, donations to the Pembroke Regional Hospital Cancer Care Campaign would be appreciated. Arrangements entrusted to Malcolm, Deavitt & Binhammer Funeral Home, Pembroke.
