Passed away unexpectedly at her home on Monday, January 5, 2026, just after her 57th birthday.
Sheryl loved the outdoors and was always up for adventure, whether it be riding horses, ATVing, playing in the creek with her grandson Jace, skiing, swimming, skating, fishing, hiking or travelling. She was creative and loved interior decorating and crafting. Sheryl’s love of animals was evident whether it be raising horses and dogs or hanging out with her faithful companion Aspen, an Australian Shepherd. Family was extremely important to Sheryl. She fiercely loved her grandson Jace, daughter Victoria, and son-in-law Orry. Sheryl was always the first to remember special occasions like birthdays and give you a call or send along a card and flowers, so you were remembered and felt special.
Loved by her parents James & Evelyn Brooks (nee Gregory). Sister of Lenore, Greg and Brenda. Remembered by her extended family – sister-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, neighbours and friends. Her free spirit and kind nature will be missed.
Visitation will be held at the Malcolm, Deavitt & Binhammer Funeral Home, 141 Renfrew St., Pembroke on Friday January 16, 2025 from 10:30 a.m. until the time of the Funeral Service in the Chapel at 11:00 a.m. Interment in St. Columba’s Cemetery, Pembroke. As an expression of sympathy, donations to Ontario SPCA and Humane Society Renfrew County Animal Centre or Bernadette McCann would be appreciated.
