Sharon Eleanor Biesenthal (nee Grife) - suddenly at home on Sunday, April 26, 2026 in her 80th year.

Sharon Biesenthal of Pembroke, pre-deceased by her beloved husband of almost 50 years Marvin Biesenthal. Loving and cherished mother of Julie Johnstone (Jim), Oakville, and Kelly Kellough (Trevor), Deep River. Devoted and treasured Grandma and Nana to Christopher & Michael Johnstone; Jackson & Allison Kellough. Dear sister of David Grife (Gale), Heather Gagne (Dan) & Peter Grife (Gwen) and sister-in-law to Darlene Hoffman (Arlie). Daughter of the late Clarence & Eleanor Grife (nee Biederman).

Sharon adored her four grandchildren and loved to spend time with them whenever she could. They filled her heart with happiness and joy. She was a talented artist who looked forward to her weekly watercolor classes. Her many hobbies included baking, crocheting, reading, painting and keeping Marvin's flower gardens looking impeccable. Sharon will be deeply missed by her family and all who knew her. Her kindness and generosity touched many people.

Visitation will be held at the Malcolm, Deavitt & Binhammer Funeral Home, 141 Renfrew St., Pembroke on Wednesday, April 29, 2026 from 2:00-4:00 & 7:00-9:00 p.m. Funeral Service will be held at St. John’s Lutheran Church, 357 Miller St., on Thursday, April 30, 2026 at 11:00 a.m. Interment in St. John’s Lutheran Cemetery, Pembroke. As an expression of sympathy, donations to St. John’s Lutheran Church or the Heart & Stroke Foundation are appreciated. Arrangements entrusted to Malcolm, Deavitt & Binhammer Funeral Home, Pembroke.
