Sandra Lynn Wright passed away surrounded by the love of her son at the Renfrew Victoria Hospital on Tuesday, November 18, 2025 at the age of 58 years
Sandi Wright of Cobden, selfless and lovingly devoted mother of Joshua Bull (Jennifer), Cobden. Doting Nana to Everley, she did everything she could to be an amazing Nana. Sister of Beth Vanstone (Kelley), Oshawa and Philip Wright, Edmonton. Aunt Sandi to Melissa, Mitchell and Melanie. Great-Aunt to Jade, Morgan and Cameron. Daughter of the late Lawrence Wright. She loved her family dearly.
Her strong passion and dedication to caring for others was part of her nature, she never wanted to be the centre of attention but was always there to support and build others up. Her son, daughter-in-law and especially her granddaughter were her pride and joy, spoiling them every chance she got, hoping to get nothing in return. Her drive to support others went beyond her own family and extended to the care of her community. She was such a determined individual who often worked more than one job at a time, obtained a degree in Honours Bachelor of Social Work remotely as an adult learner and worked tirelessly in the community helping children and families for many years through her work with the Phoenix Centre for Children and Families and as the Supervisor with Algonquins of Pikwakanagan Mental Health Service. She has been an inspiration to many as an example of selflessness, determination, and caring.
Memorial visitation will be held at the Malcolm, Deavitt & Binhammer Funeral Home, 141 Renfrew St., Pembroke on Wednesday, November 26, 2025 from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. Rather than a traditional service, her memory can be celebrated each day by holding your own children and grandchildren a little closer for a little longer, taking pride in finding the perfect gift for someone at every holiday, especially birthdays, binging a new Netflix series, and especially in participating in the care of our community. As an expression of sympathy, donations to the Phoenix Centre for Children and Families or Algonquins of Pikwakanagan would be appreciated.
