In hospital, Pembroke on Sunday, November 12, 2006 at the age of 85 years.
Ruth McKay (nee Adams) of 1130 Victoria Street, Petawawa, dearly loved wife of 68 years of Melvin (Mel) McKay. Dear mother of Donnie McKay (wife Gilda), Petawawa; Mary Jewkes, Petawawa; Elizabeth Lowther (husband Carman), Florida; Melvin McKay, Petawawa; and Charles McKay (wife Cathy), Petawawa. Nana to 11 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild. Daughter of the late Robert and Gertrude Adams. Sister of Charlie, Gerald, Margaret, Frances, Ruean and Orie. Predeceased by Norma, Connie, Douglas, Daniel, Bobbie, Jack and Roy. Also survived by 35 nieces and nephews.
Cremation has taken place. A Memorial Service will be held at the Royal Canadian Legion Br. 517, Petawawa on Thursday, November 16th at 2 p.m. (As an expression of sympathy, donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation would be appreciated). Arrangements by the Malcolm, Deavitt & Binhammer Funeral Home, Pembroke.
