Demers, Roger "Rocky" Brian - after a valiant fight, Roger passed away peacefully with his loving family by his side at the Pembroke Regional Hospital on Monday, February 10, 2020 at the age of 72 years. Roger Demers of Pembroke, loyal and devoted husband of Marjorie “Sam” Demers (nee Popkie). Protective "Papa Bear" type father, with the biggest heart and best sense of humour to his 4 beloved daughters: Michele Demers (Michael Boudens), Pembroke; Donna Steacy (Ross), Napanee; Sue Judges (Tim Jacquard), Pembroke and Christine Webster (Peter), Uxbridge. Proud Gumpy of Cassandra (Riley), Daniel, Alyssa & Briana; Kirsten & Sarah; Dylan and Alexander & Kailey. Great-Gumpy to Lillian & Emma. Son of the late Reynald and Erma Demers (nee Bradley). Brother of Wayne Demers (Linda), Quebec and Thomas "Tommy" Demers, Brampton. Roger was loved and will be missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him. A very special thank you to the Pembroke Regional Hospital 2nd Floor Medical staff for their compassionate care for Roger and his family. Visitation will be held at the Malcolm, Deavitt & Binhammer Funeral Home, 141 Renfrew St., Pembroke on Wednesday, February 12, 2020 from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be held at The Most Holy Name of Jesus Parish on Thursday at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or Ottawa Heart Institute would be appreciated.
