Robert 'Bob' Ernest Pierce

PIERCE, Robert “Bob” Ernest – passed away peacefully at the Pembroke Regional Hospital on Wednesday, March 6, 2024, at the age of 80 years. 

Bob Pierce of Petawawa, much loved husband to Pierrette Pierce (nee Martel). Dearly loved father to Tammy Pierce-Moore (Bill), Orillia; Roxanne Kirkham (Dan), Elliot Lake; and Robert Jr. “Bobby” Pierce (Lori), Collingwood. Dear grandfather to Wesley Kirkham (Ashley), Caitlin Kirkham, Keanna Kirkham, Emily Pierce, Colin Pierce, and Olivia Pierce. Dear great-grandfather to Kesha and Ayden. Bob is survived by his sisters, Marie Thornton (Keith), Margie Price and Gertie Brown (Jimmy). Bob was predeceased by his parents William and Mary Pierce (nee Conway) and by his brothers Bill Pierce (Donna) and Lenny Pierce (Connie, also deceased). Bob will be sadly missed by his many nieces and nephews and by many friends. 

Bob was a proud member of the Canadian Armed Forces for 25 years. After his retirement from the military, he owned and operated B & D Bicycle and Sport in Petawawa for 20 years. Bob was actively involved in the community serving 24 years with Scouts Canada and the Royal Canadian Legion for 40 years. 

Visitation will be held at the Malcolm, Deavitt & Binhammer Funeral Home, 141 Renfrew St., Pembroke, on Sunday, March 10, 2024, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, March 11, 2024, at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church, 11 Mohns Ave., Petawawa, at 10:30 a.m. Cremation to follow. Members of Petawawa Legion Branch #517 are asked to assemble at the funeral home on Sunday, March 10, 2024, at 7:30 p.m. In memory of Bob, donations to the Petawawa Legion Branch #517 would be appreciated.
