Rev. Timothy Kuhlmann

It is with heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Reverend Timothy (Tim) Kuhlmann, beloved husband of Pauline Kuhlmann (nee Schultz). Loving father of Tamara Kuhlmann (Mathieu Godin) Kingston; Crystal Kuhlmann, Kingston; April Kuhlmann (Robert Iron), Brockville and Jeremiah Kuhlmann, Kingston. Adoring papa to Liam Kuhlmann (Eva Aiken-Roberson), Landyn Kuhlmann, Amberly Kuhlmann, Jack McKay, Gabriel Godin, Timothy Iron. Great-papa to Everleigh Kuhlmann.

Timothy passed away peacefully at home with family by his side, after a lengthy illness on September 15, 2025, in his 73rd year.

Son of the late Harry and Jeraline Kuhlmann (nee Lewis) of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Timothy is predeceased by his brother Karl Kuhlmann (Dorothy), Forth Worth, Texas.

Timothy lived a life guided first and foremost by his deep faith in God, and his love for his family was steadfast and enduring. Timothy moved to Canada in 1976, serving St John’s Lutheran, Pembroke. In 1979 Timothy married Pauline and they moved to Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, where Timothy attended the Lutheran Theological Seminary graduating in 1983. Timothy’s first parishes were Lutheran congregations in Wolseley and Indian Head, Saskatchewan, followed by a parish in Kakabeka Falls, Ontario. Upon leaving Kakabeka Falls, Timothy returned to Pembroke, working has a councillor and filling in at many parishes in the Pembroke area. In 1999 Timothy was called to the parish of Good Shepherd, Brockville. After years of devoted service, Timothy again returned to counselling as chaplain at Hotel Dieu and Kingston General Hospitals. Serving as chaplain freed his weekends, therefore allowing him help out with various congregations in the Ontario Diocese and St Mark’s Lutheran. Timothy took on the roll as pastor at the parishes in Plevna and Flinton, even into his retirement.

Timothy's love was steady, his faith unshakable, and his presence a true blessing to all who knew him. Everyone who met Timothy and spent time with him was also a blessing to him. Thank you to everyone who shared their faith with him. He always appreciated your time.

Timothy’s one true hobby was model trains, a passion he shared with his son. Together they would build scenes, then change their minds and rebuild.

As per Timothy’s wishes, cremation has already taken place.

Visitation will take place at St. James Anglican Church, 10 Union Street, Kingston, Ontario on Friday October 10, 2025 from 1pm-4pm and 5pm-8pm. Funeral service will take place at St. James Anglican Church, on Saturday October 11, 2025, beginning at 1pm. A burial will take place on November 1, 2025 at 1pm at St. John's Lutheran Cemetery in Pembroke.
