Raymond Joseph Poelzer

Passed away peacefully at the Ottawa General Hospital on Friday, July 12, 2024, at the age of 93 years.

Ray Poelzer of Pembroke, beloved wife of the late Lillian Poelzer (nee Evans). Much loved father to Gregory Poelzer, Karen Poelzer, Doug (Danita) Poelzer and David Poelzer. Dearly loved grandfather to Megan, Miranda, James, Robert, Nicole, Sam and Nathan. Loving great-grandfather to Manuel and Ariana DeSosa and Saskia and Alison Poelzer. Ray is survived by his sisters Jeanette (Tim), Joan, and by his brother Jim. He was predeceased by his parents Christopher and Cecilia Poelzer (nee Hamling), and by his brothers Ed, Russ and sister Helen.

Respecting Ray’s wishes, cremation has taken place. A Memorial Service to honor Ray’s life will take place at the Malcolm, Deavitt & Binhammer Funeral Home Chapel on Wednesday, July 24, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. In memory of Ray, donations may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association.
