Noreen Dament

Passed away peacefully at Marianhill Hospice, Pembroke on Friday, December 12, 2025 in her 88th year.

Noreen Dament (nee Weisenberg) of Pembroke, reunited with her beloved husband the late Donald “Donnie” Dament. Mother of Lawrence Dament. Granny to Somer Nighbor and Tobi Brohart. Great-Granny to Gavin & Ava Nighbor; and Brady & Cameron Brohart. Godmother to Karen Gutoskie (Terry). Predeceased by parents August & Ida Weisenberg (nee Hammel); and siblings Irene Priebe (late Harold), Mabel Hiltz (late Donald), Frieda Witt (late Fred), Lorne (Helen), Harold, Garnet, Leslie & Eddie Weisenberg. Noreen was determined, independent, hardworking, with a great sense of humour. She loved to fish and camp and always had a home baked treat for anyone who visited. Life was not always easy, but she persevered. Many people supported Noreen throughout her life. In these later years, her support, care and a cold beer were shared with her nephew Barry Weisenberg (Kim), niece Diane Leavitt, and friend Lisa Steep (Luc).

A graveside memorial service at St. Peter’s Lutheran Cemetery, Alice will be announced in the spring. Arrangements entrusted to Malcolm, Deavitt & Binhammer Funeral Home, Pembroke.
