Norbert Venasse

Passed away peacefully at Marianhill Hospice on Sunday, August 17, 2025, at the age of 91, after receiving care at home from his son Shannon in his final years.

Beloved husband of the late Helen Venasse (née MacDonald). Loving father of Shawn (Toronto) and Shannon (Pembroke). Cherished son of the late Edwin and Mae Venasse (née Roach). Predeceased by his siblings Rupert, Ursula Cumberland, Ronald, and Margaret Mary Stang. Survived by his siblings Lucille Hearty, Bernard, Oswald, Gerard, and Conrad.

In his younger years, Norbert enjoyed canoeing, cycling, fishing, and hunting. Later in life, he took great pride in his garden, had a gift for fixing just about anything, and was known for his quiet nature and sharp sense of humour.

At Norbert’s request, the family gathered privately to honor his final wishes. Arrangements entrusted to Malcolm, Deavitt & Binhammer Funeral Home, Pembroke.
