Nellie Bromley

Bromley, Nellie – passed away peacefully with family by her side on Sunday, November 24, 2019 at the age of 91 years.

Nellie Bromley (nee Desjardins) of Westmeath, wife of the late Robert Bromley.  Mother of Susan (Paul), Beth (Trevor), Paul (Jacquie), Ian (Karen) and Andrew (Anne).  Granny to Alexis & Jenna; Charlene & Jonas; Sean; Tara, Joanne, Kaylee & Tyson; and Cailen, Tanner & Meeka.  Granny Nellie to Autumn & River; Jacob, Caleb & Austin; Claire, Garrett, Leighton, Elliott & Barand; and Brent. Daughter of the late Douglas and Florence Desjardins (nee Addison).  Sister of Isabel White and Emma Desjardins.  Predeceased by siblings Esther “Essie” McMullen, Alice “Allie” Desjardin, Bertha “Bertie” McMullen, Clayton “Joe” Desjardins, Florence “Dolly” McMullen, Reuben Desjardins, Jean Timm, Clinton Desjardins and Evelyn “Evie” Timm.  Survived by many nieces & nephews and great-nieces & nephews. 

Thanks to the palliative care nurses from St. Elizabeth, with special thanks to Chantal and Pat. Their guidance and support allowed mom to remain with family until the end.

Visitation will be held in the sanctuary of St. Andrew’s United Church, Westmeath on Wednesday, December 4, 2019 from 9:00 – 11:15 a.m. with a Funeral Service at 11:30 a.m.  There will be a time of fellowship and refreshments in the parish hall followed by interment in the parish cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, donations to St. Andrew’s United Church, Westmeath would be appreciated.  Online donations/condolences are available at www.mdbfuneralhome.com.
