Michael Racicot

Passed away, surrounded by the love of his wife, 3 daughters and their husbands on Thursday, January 22, 2026 at the age of 78 years.

Michael Racicot, formally of Ottawa, with a heart that was always settled at the cottage on L’Isle-aux-Allumettes. Devoted and loved husband of 60 years (January 24, 1966) to his high school sweetheart Patricia Racicot (nee Kilby). Proud and dedicated father of Teresa Carthy (Michael), Peterborough; Christine Racicot (Patrick Archambault), Ottawa; and Trish Racicot (James “Jim” Brazeau), Ottawa. Beloved grandfather of Sarah, Jessica, Jack and Rachel Carthy. Raised in Sudbury and predeceased by parents Omer and Muriel Racicot (nee Slaughter) and brother Brian Racicot (Maureen). Fondly remembered by nieces Laurie, Carolynn, Jennifer and their families, as well as cousins, friends, neighbours, and customers.

Respecting Michael’s humble request, a small, private, intimate funeral service will be held in the chapel of the Malcolm, Deavitt & Binhammer Funeral Home, Pembroke. As an expression of sympathy, donations to the Terry Fox Foundation would be appreciated.
