Melba Helen Hawkins

Passed away peacefully on Monday, July 14, 2025 with family by her side at Marianhill Nursing Home in her 95th year.  

Melba Helene Hawkins (nee Antler), beloved wife of the late Henry "Willis" Hawkins. Cherished mother of Sharon Chuipka (Brian) of Barrie, Bonnie Melin (Miles) of Barrie, Barry Hawkins (Val) of Edmonton and Lois Wilson (Al) of Petawawa. Proud grandmother of Matthew, Melissa, Mackenzie, Morgan, Randi, Steven, Tori, Lauren and Julia and great-grandmother of 10. Daughter of the late Carl and Ida Antler (nee Kuehl). Survived by her sister Dwyla Doran (late Warren Jr.).  Predeceased by her siblings Norman Antler (late Ethel), Doris Joudwa (late Maurice), Garnet Antler (late Madeline), Rhoda Antler, Lois Gilbert (late George), Lloyd Antler (late Viola), Marvey Antler, Ellen Kierstead (late Russ), Myrna Pilatzke (late Mel) and Lillian Schwan (late Don). Fondly remembered by her many nieces, nephews and extended family. 

Honoring Melba's wishes, a private graveside service was held at St. Patrick's Anglican Cemetery, Stafford Township. Arrangements entrusted to Malcolm, Deavitt & Binhammer Funeral Home, Pembroke.
