MOORE, Mary Margaret, passed away peacefully at Riverview Heights, Pembroke, on Thursday, August 22, 2024, in her 93rd year.
Margie Moore (nee Seifert) of Pembroke, beloved wife of the late Louis John Moore. Caring mother of Susan Moore (Ken Jardine), Edmonton AB; Bill Moore (Lori), Sherwood Park, AB; and Stephen Moore (Val Rimell), Nepean. Grandma of Benjamin, Latham & Emily Fisher; Sarah & Landon Moore; and Brianna & Isabella Moore. Great-grandmother of Gage, Max, Karma, Declyn, and Daxton. Daughter of the late George and Anne Seifert. Sister of Lil Clayton (late Fred), Beaconsfield, QC, and Sylvia Journeaux (Dean), Rockland. Predeceased by sister Lolly Rhode (late Jack). Margie took loving pride and dedication in raising her family with the utmost care.
Margie will be dearly missed by her cherished friends at Miramichi Lodge where she was a dedicated volunteer for 50+ years supporting the tuck shop, feeding program, she even personally obtained and wrapped birthday gifts for the residents and delivered meals on wheels until the age of 88 years; Holy Trinity Anglican Church where she was a faithful parishioner for 63 years, she was a member of the choir for funeral services; a member of the ACW, along with various support roles; a volunteer with Pembroke Civic Hospital tuck shop; and canvass for the Canadian Cancer Society Daffodil Campaign. She will also be fondly remembered by the residents & staff of Riverview Heights and by friends & neighbors in Pembroke and Round Lake.
Visitation will be held at the Malcolm, Deavitt & Binhammer Funeral Home, 141 Renfrew St., Pembroke, on Friday, August 30, 2024, from 12–1:45 p.m., with a funeral service at Holy Trinity Anglican Church, 68 Renfrew St., Pembroke, at 2:00 p.m., followed by interment in Holy Trinity Anglican Cemetery and a reception in the Fellowship Hall. As an expression of sympathy, donations may be made to Holy Trinity Anglican Church or the Dementia Society of Ottawa and Renfrew County.
