Marilyn Ann Plath

PLATH, Marilyn – passed away peacefully at Hospice Renfrew on Saturday, May 27, 2023 in her 78th year.  

Marilyn Plath (nee Thom) of Pembroke, deary loved wife of 50 years to the late Weldon Plath.  Beloved mother of Kevin Plath (Karen) and Corwin “Corey” Plath (Lori).  Predeceased by her dear daughter Sherri-Lynn Young.  Survived by son-in-law retired Colonel Tim Young.  Adored grandmother of Brittany & Stuart Young; Nicholas & Benjamin Plath; and Meagan MacLeod & Andrew Bennett.  Marilyn is survived by great-grandchildren Spencer Jaworowski; and Caleb, Brooke & Finley MacLeod. Also survived by close confident and dear companion John Petty.  Daughter of the late Harold and Gloria Thom (nee Bradley).  Sister of Donald Thom (Wendy), Valerie Sandever (James), Leslie Thom (Valerie), Gordon Thom (Leanne), Robert Thom (Karen), Lloyd Thom (Sharon) and Darwin Thom (Cheryl).  Predeceased by sisters Irene Thom and Evelyn Kriegelstein (Andy).  Missed by aunts, uncles and many nieces & nephews.   

Respecting Marilyn’s wishes, cremation has taken place.  Memorial Visitation will be held at the Malcolm, Deavitt & Binhammer Funeral Home, 141 Renfrew St., Pembroke on Friday, June 2, 2023 from 7:00 – 9:00 p.m.  Memorial Service will be held at Zion Lutheran Church, 454 Miller St, Pembroke on Saturday, June 3, 2023 at 10:00 a.m.  Interment of ashes in Zion Lutheran Cemetery.  As an expression of sympathy, donations to Hospice Renfrew or Pembroke Regional Hospital Cancer Care Campaign https://prhfoundation.com/cancercare/  would be appreciated.
