Leona Young

YOUNG, Leona Edna - passed away at the Pembroke Regional Hospital, on Monday, January 24, 2022 in her 88th year.

Leona Young (nee Koops) of Pembroke, beloved wife of the late Versil Young. Dear loving mother of John Young (Jane), Pembroke; Melanie Eichstaedt, Beachburg; and Paul Young (Kesha), Ottawa. Proud and loving grandmother of Caleb, Emma, Liam and Aidan; Lucas; and James & Grace. Daughter of the late Frederick & Mary Koops (nee Roesler).

Leona was an avid supporter of figure skating in the Pembroke community. Leona was a skilled seamstress and a talented artist. Leona loved her children and especially her grandchildren. 

A private graveside service will be held in the spring at Zion/St. Timothy's Lutheran Cemetery, Pembroke. Arrangements entrusted to Malcolm, Deavitt & Binhammer Funeral Home, Pembroke.
