Joan Edith LaForce

Passed away peacefully at the Pembroke Regional Hospital, with family by her side, on Wednesday, May 21, 2025 in her 86th year.

Joan LaForce (nee Burchart) of Petawawa, beloved wife of the late William LaForce. Dear mother of Paul, Kingston; Brent (Wendy), Haley Station; Philip (Sue), Pembroke; Chris, Peterborough; Cheryl Crispin (Tom), Prince George, BC; and Kim Steed (Jamie), Petawawa. Dearly loved grandma of 11 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. Daughter of the late Herman and Bertha Burchart (nee Panke). Sister of Franklin (Rita), Barbara (Elwin), Mona (Marcel), and Eldon (Sheilah). Predeceased by siblings Merril, Conrad, Verla, Beverly, and Sandra.

A heartfelt thank you to the 3rd floor surgical nurses at the Pembroke Regional Hospital for all their care.

A Funeral Service will be held at Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church, 454 Miller St., Pembroke on Friday, May 30, 2025 at 10:00 a.m. followed by a private family interment. Arrangements entrusted to the Malcolm, Deavitt & Binhammer Funeral Home, Pembroke. At the family’s request, in lieu of flowers, donations to Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated.
