Hartley Carnegie

CARNEGIE, Hartley Earl (retired from AECL) – passed away at Marianhill, Pembroke on Tuesday, August 27, 2019 at the age of 87 years.

Hartley Carnegie of Pembroke, dearly loved husband of the late Fay Carnegie (nee Hodgins).  Dear father of Steven Carnegie, Ottawa; Penny Prince (Darwin), Pembroke; and Laurie Beauchamp, Pembroke.  Grandfather to Christa Leal (Wade), Julie Bramburger (Trevor), John Rose & Daniel Beauchamp; and great-grandfather of Alexis, Madison & Carter; and Georgia & Joshua.  Son of the late Archie & Pearl Carnegie (nee Hopper); and predeceased by sisters Patsy Robinson (late Howard) & Donna Schroeder (late Milton); and brothers Arthur (Audrey), Darwin (late Agatha) & Keith (Vivian) Carnegie. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Visitation at the Malcolm, Deavitt & Binhammer Funeral Home, 141 Renfrew St., Pembroke on Wednesday, August 28, 2019 from 7 to 9:00 p.m.  Funeral Service will be held at Wesley United Church, Pembroke on Thursday at 11:00 a.m.  Interment in Wesley United Cemetery.  (As an expression of sympathy, donations to the Dementia Society of Ottawa & Renfrew County would be appreciated.)  Online condolences and donations are available at www.mdbfuneralhome.com.
