Hal Van Wert

VAN WERT, Hal – passed away suddenly at his home on Saturday, February 23, 2019 in his 59th year.

Hal Van Wert of Petawawa, beloved husband of Colleen Van Wert (nee Kuehl).  Loving father of Candice Wright (Adam); and cherished Poppa to Gracelyn & Mason.  Son of the late Conrad & Eileen Van Wert (nee Laronde).  Son-in-law of Joy Kuehl & Roy Kuehl; and brother-in-law to Barry Kuehl & Karen Mulligan (Bill).  Dear uncle to Brody (Tara) & Corey (Erica) Mulligan; and great-uncle to Hayley & Colton.  Hal was a wonderful husband, father & poppa, and he will be forever loved and missed.

A celebration of Hal’s life will be held at the Malcolm, Deavitt & Binhammer Funeral Home, 141 Renfrew St., Pembroke on Saturday, March 2, 2019 from 1 to 4:00 p.m., with a sharing of memories at 2:00 p.m.  (As an expression of sympathy, donations to the Ottawa Heart Institute, the Canadian Cancer Society, or the Robbie Dean Family Counselling Centre would be appreciated.)  Online condolences and donations are available at www.mdbfuneralhome.com.
