Clarke, Glen Allen (Retired firefighter – Pembroke Fire Department 1962-1993) – Born October 21, 1933, passed away peacefully at the Pembroke Regional Hospital on March 9, 2026 in his 93rd year.
Glen Clarke of Pembroke beloved husband of 48 years to the late Nancy Clarke (nee Stark). Predeceased by parents Edward and Agnes Clarke (nee Harvey) as well as his brothers Gordon, Earl, Jack and sisters Mary Soucy and Pat Wickware. He will be sadly missed by his family Robert (Laura) Lapointe, Doug (Cathy) Lapointe, Linda (Frank) Boucher and Carol (Edward) Yahnke, grandchildren Angela (Tim), Jonathan (Jill), Caleb (Jo), Corey (Jenn), Jamie (Ginger), Sara (Steve), Jeremiah, Melissa (Dave) and Meagan (Neil) including many great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends. Special thanks to his nieces Lynn and Alexis and nephew Gaye for their visits over the past few years.
Glen worked as a firefighter for the Pembroke Fire Department for 31 years and was a long-time member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 72. Papa, you were our gentle giant, so loved and appreciated by everyone. You can now rest peacefully – “See you in the movies!”
Visitation will be held at the Malcolm, Deavitt & Binhammer Funeral Home 141 Renfrew St., Pembroke on Friday, March 13, 2026 from 10:00 am until the time of the funeral service in the chapel beginning at 11:00 am. A reception will immediately follow at the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 72. Spring burial in Calvin/First Presbyterian Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Pembroke Professional Fire Fighters Association Local 488 would be appreciated. Arrangements entrusted to Malcolm, Deavitt & Binhammer Funeral Home, Pembroke.
