Gladys Jennie Brook is Gone - Peacefully on Sunday October 4, 2015 at Kirkland & District Hospital surrounded by her loving family. Gladys was the special friend of the late Mike Grier. She was the daughter of Wm. and Muriel Brook, sister of the late Amon and Eric and wonderful great aunt to the late Tyler and Mathew Wilson. Gladys is survived by sisters Bea (Len) Barbe, Alice (late Jim) McKnight, Marla (Victor) Larocque, and her brothers Bill (Delta), Charlie (Susan), Raymond (Nancy) and sister-in-law Fern Brook. Also, surviving are numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews and great great nieces and nephews. Gladys is also survived by her special friends Al and Donna Rose, Suzie Desjardins & Ernest and the late Rita Hurd, all of Pembroke; and Shannon Johnson of North Bay; as well as her extended family at Community Living. Gladys was loved by everyone who knew her. She gave unconditional love and was very witty. Gladys and Mike enjoyed entertaining people at Riverside Park. The family will welcome friends and family at Malcolm Deavitt & Binhammer Funeral Home, 141 Renfrew St., Pembroke on Friday October 9th 2015 from 12:00 - 2:00 p.m. with the service to follow in the chapel. Cremation will follow. In lieu of flowers, donation in Gladys' memory may be made to the Salvation Army.
