Garbrelle Lydia Byers

Garbrelle “Garb” Lydia Byers (nee Wieland) passed away peacefully at Caressant Care in Cobden on Wednesday, March 4, 2026 in her 88th year.

Garb Byers of Pembroke, beloved wife of the late Delbert Byers (2004). Loving mother of Lorraine (Leslie) Hartwig, late Lloyd (Christine) Byers, Marion (Mike) Pearce, Donna (Terry) Buder and Terry (Norma) Byers all of Pembroke. Cherished Gramma to Shawn Hartwig & Tina Hartwig-Schroeder (Derek); Jennifer (Billy) Lavergne, Suzanne (Arlin) Nagora, Amanda (Matt) Godin & Theresa (Richard) Schauer; Tanya (Chris) Maika, Chrystal Pearce, Kelly (Andy) MacDonald; Tasha (Jason) Johnson and Tara Byers. Great-Gramma to 20 and Great-Great-Gramma to 2. Sister of the late Gerald Wieland (late Florence), Mervyn Wieland (Marilyn), late Darcy Wieland (late Betty), Rockland (late Norma) Wieland and Darlene Prince (Ernie). Daughter of the late Arnold & Mayme Wieland (nee Felhaber). Will be missed by several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

A memorial service will be held on Thursday, March 12 at 11:00 a.m., at Salem United Church, 787 Witt Rd, Pembroke followed by a luncheon. Spring interment in the parish cemetery.
