Frances Andrews

ANDREWS, Frances – passed away at the Pembroke Regional Hospital on Tuesday, February 3, 2026, at the age of 91 years.

Frances Andrews (nee Fortin) of Pembroke, wife of the late Mervin Andrews. Frances always kept her 3 daughters and their families close to her heart: Lynn Laroque; Joanne Pietryzk and Diane Perrault. Grandchildren Daniel Maheux, Jody Gore, Christa Racicot & the late Brandy-Lee. Survived by sister Marylin Lynch (Robert), brother Charles Fortin (late Nicole), and many nieces & nephews. Predeceased by parents Francois Fortin & Lorette Mathuirn. Lovingly remembered by her family of neighbours, especially her best-friend and Guardian Angel Lise. A special thank you to the compassionate staff of the Pembroke Regional Hospital for their care.

Frances’ close neighbours and family informally gathered to share stories, laughter, tears and support – just the way Fran would have wanted it. Her cremated remains will be laid to rest beside her companion of many years, Gerald Parent at Notre Dame Cemetery, Ottawa, when the weather permits. Arrangements entrusted to Malcolm, Deavitt & Binhammer Funeral Home, Pembroke.
