PORTEOUS, Earl Delmar September 1st, 2005. Born 19 January 1945 in Carleton Place, Ontario to the late Keith and Doris (Saunders) Porteous. He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Judy (Allard), by three children, James (Lyette) of Marathon, Jannie of Pembroke, and Jason (Kelly) of Halifax, and by five grandchildren, Earl, Abigail, Isaac, Eliza Jane Porteous and Jelisa MacKenzie. Brother of Robert Porteous (Wanda), Thunder Bay; and Kerry Porteous (Pam), Smiths Falls. A miner by profession Earl lived, worked and raised a family in Northern Ontario (Marathon and Levack) before retiring to Pembroke in 1991. He was a fine husband and a great father. He will be remembered by a large extended family and friends for his great sense of humour, his generosity, and for his willingness to help all those around him in any way he could. He will be missed by all. A Memorial Service will be held at All Saints Anglican Church, Petawawa on Monday, 5 September at 11 a.m. (In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Marianhill Palliative Care Unit in Pembroke). Arrangements by the Malcolm, Deavitt & Binhammer Funeral Home, Pembroke.
