Delbert Gorr

Passed away unexpectedly, yet peacefully, surrounded by the love of his treasured family at the Pembroke Regional Hospital on Tuesday, May 12, 2026 at the age of 78 years.

Delbert Gorr of Pembroke, best-friend and beloved husband of over 51 years to Marilyn Gorr (nee McCallum). Devoted Daddy to Tanya McParland (Dwight), Lana Gorr (Jim Crigger), and Jason Gorr (Stephanie Christink). Proud Poppa to 5 beautiful grandchildren: Jenna & Cole; Sarah & Cameron; and Waylon. Survived by siblings Judy Laverdure (late Victor), Ione Matthews (Grant), and Annette de Haan (late Corny). Predeceased by parents George & Doris Gorr (nee Maves) and parents-in-law Basil & Viola McCallum. Brother-in-law to Jim McCallum (Cathy), Judy Loder (Norman), late Jack McCallum (late Lucy), late Susan McLeish, Eddie McCallum (Brenda), Mary Popke (late Delbert), late Jane Mau (Harvey), late Danny McCallum, Gail Kruger (late Dennis) and Bill McCallum (Cindy).

Del was a lover of sports and the great outdoors. His friends & family will cherish the memories of him playing broomball & hockey, cheering on the Montreal Canadiens & Toronto Blue Jays, as well as numerous hunting and fishing trips. His quick wit, compassionate & considerate heart and unwavering love for his family carried him through life, especially in his final days.

Respecting Delbert's wishes, cremation has taken place. Friends & family are invited to a memorial visitation at the Malcolm, Deavitt & Binhammer Funeral Home, 141 Renfrew St., Pembroke on Friday, June 12, 2026 from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. & 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. A private family Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. As an expression of sympathy, donations to Walk For Her/Pembroke Regional Hospital Foundation would be appreciated, as Del was a proud participant & supporter of this local charity organization.
