Clarence Joseph Barink
Co-owner of Paramount Kitchens
Passed away at his home on Sunday, June 21, 2026 at the age of 62 years.
Clarence Barink of Petawawa, son of the late Gerhardus “Gerry” Barink (wife Elfride Groothuis) and the late Agnes Barink (nee Beukert). Loving brother of Lianne Marchand (Gary) & Joanne Watts. Cherished uncle of Jeremiah (Emily) & Cassandra White; and Melanie (Brandon Juch) & the late Emily Watts; and great-uncle of Aleksei; Owen, Aiden & Hudson. Missed by his favourite companion, dog Oleg.
Clarence had a spark of adventure and enjoyed seeing the world by plane, Subaru Outback and motorcycle. His travels often took him to a ski hill to spend the entire day on the slopes, whether that be Mattawa, Calabogie, out West or Europe. He looked forward to the annual trip to the hunt camp to spend time with the guys and foster longstanding friendships. He loved to work with his hands, the Paramount Kitchens’ moto, “If you Dream it, we can Built it!”, was inspired by Clarence’s ability to truly see someone’s vision, create a design and bring it to life. Everywhere he went, he brought a sense of humour and a gift to story-tell. All the things he was passionate about, he wanted to do alongside his beloved family.
Memorial Visitation will be held at the Malcolm, Deavitt & Binhammer Funeral Home, 141 Renfrew St., Pembroke on Thursday, July 9, 2026 from 6:00 - 9:00 p.m. A Memorial Service will be held at Petawawa Presbyterian Church, 24 Ethel St., Petawawa on Friday at 11:00 a.m. As an expression of sympathy, donations to Renfrew County SPCA, Ottawa Heart Institute or Pembroke Regional Hospital Acute Mental Health would be appreciated.
