Cathy Gerrard

Gerrard, Catherine Heather "Cathy" - passed away peacefully at her home, with her family by her side, in the morning hours of July 3, 2021 after a courageous and tenacious battle with ovarian cancer, at the age of 66 years.

Cathy Gerrard of Pembroke, beloved wife of Luc Garneau.  Loving mother to Heather Gerrard, Kelly Gerrard and Melanie Lagrave (nee Gerrard Garneau); and step-mom to Robyn Shipclark.  Loved sister to Brian, Tim and Kevin Gerrard.  Predeceased by father John Gerrard, mother Bonnie Gerrard (nee Franklin), brothers Ken and Dan Gerrard and sister Debbie True (nee Gerrard).

Time spent with family and friends was one of Cathy's greatest joys.  Another love was working with youth as a volunteer and officer (Captain) with the 638 Air Cadet Squadron in Pembroke.  Special thanks to the Bayshore Home Care team for the compassionate care provided to Cathy and the family. 

Visitation at the Malcolm, Deavitt & Binhammer Funeral Home, 141 Renfrew St., Pembroke on Saturday, July 10, 2021 from 1 to 2:30 p.m.  A Graveside Service will be held at Holy Trinity Anglican Cemetery, Pembroke at 3:30 p.m.  DUE TO THE CURRENT RESTRICTIONS REGARDING COVID-19 SET FORTH BY THE BEREAVEMENT AUTHORITY OF ONTARIO, A LIMITED NUMBER OF PEOPLE ARE PERMITTED AT THE FUNERAL HOME & CEMETERY.  Please call the funeral home at (613) 732-3637 to make a reservation if you wish to attend the visitation or service.  (As an expression of sympathy, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be greatly appreciated.)  Online condolences and donations are available at www.mdbfuneralhome.com.
