Brian Anthony Reid

Reid, Brian Anthony - passed away quickly yet peacefully with his beloved wife by his side at the Pembroke Regional Hospital on Tuesday, May 16, 2017 in his 77th year. Brian Reid of Pembroke, husband of Marleen Reid (nee Taylor).  Father of Christopher, Stephan and Terry Reid (late Kelly).  Brian will be missed by his granddaughters Emily, Sasha & Nikki and their mother Sarah Duke of England and his grandsons Taylor & Stewart Reid.  Brother of Lynne Shibley and Donna Pingle. Predeceased by brothers Don, Allan (Donna) & Stanley.  Dear son of the late Marie Reid (nee Connelly).  Cherished brother-in-law of Garry Taylor (Sue).  Uncle B. to many nieces, nephews and great-nieces & nephews.  Brian had a curious mind and was always reading, learning, loved doing crossword puzzles and trying his hand at new wood working projects.  The wonderful care Brian and Marleen received over the past few weeks was above and beyond their expectations.  A special thank you to Dr. Rachelle Denis of the West Champlain Family Health Team, Dr. Pierre Villenue of Ottawa, Dr. Ratnayake of the Pembroke Regional Hospital, Renfrew Country Paramedics and the amazing staff at the Pembroke Regional Hospital, we are so grateful for your honesty, guidance, care, compassion and support during this difficult journey.  Respecting Brian's wishes cremation has taken place.  Interment of ashes in New Liskeard Cemetery at a later date.  As an expression of sympathy, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or Pembroke Regional Hospital Foundation would be appreciated.  Arrangements entrusted to Malcolm, Deavitt & Binhammer Funeral Home, Pembroke.
