Brian Stephen Pirie - surrounded by his loving family, died peacefully at the Pembroke Regional Hospital on Sunday, January 4, 2026 in his 68th year after a courageous battle with cancer.
Brian Pirie of Pembroke, tremendously missed by his loving wife of 43 years Sheryl Pirie, son Chris (Corinna) Pirie of Fort-McMurray, Alberta and daughter Ashley (Alex) Beckett of Ottawa and his pride and joy grandchildren; Steven, Nash & Cruz. Also survived by his mother Carol Pirie of Shawville, brothers Blair and Blake (Gayle), brother-in-law Randy (Martha) and nephews Greg, Ryan, and Nick. Predeceased by his father Versal, sister Lynn and nephew Josh. He will be remembered fondly by his nephews Jason, Ty, Spencer, Brady and Carter for their time hunting and fishing. Brian loved the outdoors and treasured the time spent at the moose camp with his extended family. Brian will be fondly remembered by his many friends in the trucking industry where he spent his 45-year career. We will all miss his devotion to his family, sense of humor, and unwavering quest for knowledge.
Memorial Visitation will be held at the Malcolm, Deavitt and Binhammer Funeral Home, 141 Renfrew St, Pembroke on Friday January 9th from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm. Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 a.m., on Saturday, January 10th at the Shawville United Church. Lunch to follow in the church hall. The service will be livestreamed and made available by clicking this link. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Pembroke Regional Hospital Cancer Care Campaign.
