Brenda Witt

Brenda Marie Witt passed away unexpectedly at her home while navigating preexisting health concerns on Tuesday, April 14, 2026 after just turning 64 years old.

Brenda Witt of Nepean, daughter of the late Arthur and Frieda Witt (nee Oelke). Youngest sister of Robert “Bob” Witt (Debbie), Arnprior and Judy Moore (Don), Norway Bay, QC. Aunt to Chris & Alison; Melinda; and 8 great-nieces & nephews.

Brenda was truly one on a kind. She was a social butterfly with a big heart who could strike up a conversation with someone from any walk of life. These characteristics are what made her a compassionate community PSW, dedicated volunteer at the Queensway Carleton Hospital, and active parishioner at Faith Lutheran Church, Nepean. Brenda was diagnosed with Addison’s Disease at a very young age, although her life was not an easy one, she exceeded medical experts’ expectations and lived life to its fullest. Although 64 years is not long enough, the wonderful memories she created with so many people will continue to live on in their hearts.

Memorial Visitation will be held at Faith Lutheran Church, 43 Meadowlands Drive West, Ottawa, on Saturday, May 9, 2026 from 10:00 a.m. – 10:45 a.m. with a Memorial Service starting at 11:00 a.m. The service will be available virtually through the online link. Interment of ashes in St. John’s Lutheran Cemetery, 670 Boundary Rd E., Pembroke will be held on Sunday, May 24, 2026 at 2:00 p.m. Arrangements entrusted to Malcolm, Deavitt & Binhammer Funeral Home, Pembroke. As an expression of sympathy, donations to Faith Lutheran Church, Ottawa or Queensway Carleton Hospital would be appreciated.
