Bob Pietersma

PIETERSMA, Bouke “Bob” – passed away peacefully at Caressant Care Cobden on Tuesday, August 13, 2019 in his 87th year.

Bob Pietersma of Beachburg, dearly loved husband of the late Mary Pietersma (nee Neilson).  Step-father of Brenda Gervais, Peterborough; Debbie Gervais (Al Clayton), North Gower; and Dianna Gervais, Ottawa.  Pake to Benjamin.  Son of the late Bonne and Sjouke Pietersma (nee Edema).  Predeceased by brothers Wouter (late Fardo) & Jan Pietersma and sister Katie Nieuwenhuis (late Sjirk).  Uncle to Sandra Jeffrey (late Herbie), Geppie Wassing (Harko), Bonne Pietersma (Margaret Broome) and Barry Nieuwenhuis (Brenda).  Predeceased by nephew Ebele Pietersma.  Bob is survived by numerous great-nieces and nephews. 

Words cannot begin to express the family’s gratitude to the staff of Caressent Care Cobden for going above & beyond with their loving care and compassion.

Respecting Bob’s wishes, cremation has taken place.  A Graveside Memorial Service will be held at Beachburg Union Cemetery on Saturday, August 31, 2019 at 1:00 p.m. with a luncheon to follow.  As an expression of sympathy, donations to the charity of your choice would be appreciated.  Online donations/condolence are available at www.mdbfuneralhome.com.
