William Ashley

William Edward Ashley – passed away peacefully at Caressant care in Cobden, on Wednesday, September 17, 2025, at the age of 89 years.

Bill Ashley of Beachburg, beloved husband of the late Gwen Ashley (nee Johnson). Dear father of Cathy Comrie, Calgary; Wendy Johnson (Hal), Cobden; Jim Ashley (Kori), Dawson Creek; Kim Ashley, Edmonton and Tony Ashley, Beachburg. Cherished grandfather of Sherri Comrie (Greg), Kelly Millar (Paul), Nathan Johnson (Jessica), Phillip Marokus (Lauren), Justin Ashley (Jen), Evan Ashley, Hayley Ashley & Morgan Preete and great-grandfather to 7. Predeceased by parents Harry & Norris Ashley (nee Weedmark) and sisters Kathleen Vader (Floyd) and infant Corrine Ashley. Survived by sisters-in-law Ivy Johnson (late Bob) and Dale Rae (late Gerald) and many nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held at St. Augustine’s Anglican Cemetery, Beachburg on Saturday, September 27, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. A reception will follow at the Beachburg Lions Club.
