Betty Elchuk

Betty Elchuk passed away peacefully, with her loving daughter by her side, on Wednesday, January 7, 2026 at the age of 86 years.

Betty Elchuk (nee Reckzin) of Pembroke, wife of the late Steve Elchuk. Mother of Debbie Gillespie (Daniel). Nanny of Ethan James Gillespie and Taylee Grace Gillespie. Daughter of the late Fred & Grace Reckzin (nee Kuehl). Sister of Marilyn Reckzin and the late Ellard Reckzin (late Shirley). Aunt, sister, sister-in-law, cousin and friend.

Honouring Betty’s wishes, a private family service will be held, with a graveside service in the spring at St. John’s Lutheran Cemetery, Pembroke. As an expression of sympathy, donations to the Renfrew County SPCA or The Ottawa Hospital Cancer Centre would be appreciated. Arrangements entrusted to Malcolm, Deavitt & Binhammer Funeral Home, Pembroke.
