KARAU, Berndena – passed away at Marianhill, Pembroke on Friday, March 27, 2020 in her 98th year. Berndena Karau (nee Kumm) of Pembroke, beloved wife of the late Edwin Karau. Dear mother of Eileen Burke (David Grace), Chalk River; and the late Robert Karau. Cherished grandmother of Stacey Burke, Sheri Publicover (Jason), Shawn Burke (Melissa), Crystal Cluett (Roger) & Jami Burke (Carrie); as well as eight great-grandchildren & one great-great-granddaughter. Daughter of the late William and Mathilda Kumm; and sister of Magdalene Horman. Predeceased by sisters Gertrude Berger & Rita Wise; and brothers Wilmer, Reginald, Earl & William Kumm. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. A memorial service and interment will be held at Grace Lutheran Church, Locksley at a later date.
