Barbara Edna Schonnop

Barbara Edna Schonnop passed away peacefully at home surrounded by love on Saturday, November 22, 2025 in her 85th year.

Barb Schonnop (nee Nagora) of Pembroke, beloved wife and soulmate for 54 years to Ronald Edward Schonnop. Cherished mother of Jamie Schonnop (Allison), Jeff Schonnop (Darlene), late Brenda Sperberg (Doug), Charlie Yeas (Renee), Kevin Yeas (Barb), Danny Yeas (Harlene) and Karen Lavigne (Steve). Dear sister of Lloyd Nagora (Marie), Donna Yeas (late John), Ethel Lauzon (late Bernard), Arlene Laundry (late Larry) and late Earl Nagora (Luella). Daughter of the late Richard & Marjorie Nagora (nee Mathieu). Survived and missed by many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Barb’s family wishes to extend a heartfelt thank-you to Dr. L. Lane and the Staff at Bayshore Home Health for their support and comfort over the past years.

Respecting Barb’s wishes, cremation has taken place. Interment of ashes will take place in the spring at Wilberforce United Cemetery, Rankin. As an expression of sympathy, donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation are appreciated. Arrangements entrusted to Malcolm, Deavitt & Binhammer Funeral Home, Pembroke.
