Barbara Ann Austin

AUSTIN, Barbara – passed away peacefully at the Pembroke Regional Hospital on Thursday, June 15, 2023, at the age of 82 years.  

Barbara Ann Austin (nee Mahoney) of Petawawa, beloved wife of the late Wayne Austin (2002). Dear mother of Peter Austin (Brigitte), Ottawa & Joanne Austin, Pembroke. Cherished grandmother to Bradley & Tye Austin both of Ottawa and Gregory & William Moser both of Kingston. Predeceased by parents Tom & Francis Mahoney (nee Sinnot), brother Tommy Mahoney (late Sheila) and sisters Bernice Gladney and June Butler. Deeply missed by nieces Branda Mahoney (Tom), Ann Marie Williams (late Randy), Colleen Mahoney (Rodney), Barbara Oliver (late Walter), Gail Gladney, Betty Whalen (Tony) and by nephews Tommy Mahoney, Tommy Gladney (late April), Michael Gladney, Perry Gladney, Tony Williams (Georgina), Ken Williams and Neil Butler as well as many other relatives in Newfoundland, where she was born. 

Respecting Barbara’s wishes, cremation will take place. Interment of ashes at St. Columba’s Catholic Cemetery. Arrangements entrusted to Malcolm, Deavitt & Binhammer Funeral Home, Pembroke.
