Amy Biggs

BIGGS, Amy Laura – passed away at the Pembroke Regional Hospital on Monday, September 30, 2019 at the age of 96 years.

Amy Biggs (nee Bourk) of Pembroke, beloved wife of Reg Biggs, and by first marriage the late Alfred James.  Dearly loved mother of Alf James (Lila), Almonte; Catherine Cochran (Donald), Almonte; Janet James Whalen (Wally), Arnprior; and Pauline James, Pembroke.  Cherished grandmother of Dustin James (Charity); Adam (Brenda) & Andrew Cochran; and James, Jerrit & Jayci Whalen.  Daughter of the late Richard & Mary Harriet Bourk (nee Buttle); and predeceased by sisters Annetta, Mary, Maud, Edna & Ida; and by brother Walter.  Survived by dear sister-in-law Maureen Gillan (nee Biggs), as well as by many nieces and nephews.

Respecting Amy’s wishes, cremation has taken place.  A Memorial Service will be held at Wesley United Church, Pembroke on Friday, October 4, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. with Interment in Wesley United Cemetery.  Arrangements entrusted to Malcolm, Deavitt & Binhammer Funeral Home, Pembroke.  (As an expression of sympathy, donations to Community Living would be appreciated.)  Online condolences and donations are available at www.mdbfuneralhome.com.
